Parent’s Meeting to apprise about the skills acquired by their wards
A Parents’ Meet was held on Sunday, 22nd February, 2015 at the DBHRDC to apprise the parents about the skills their wards were learning at the centre. All the parents were present for the meeting and due to some emergency some left early from the centre.
The students were actively involved in planning out the days’ schedule. Each set of trainees took up responsibilities to make the meet a fruitful and successful one.
Hospitality students welcomed the parents with a song followed by a Power point presentation of students of Multi-skill Training on the topic of ‘Power Generation’. Hospitality students presented lunch table layout, European table settings, order taking conversation and food carving. Some of the trainees also presented the manner in which guest should be received in the front office.
Program Co-ordinator K Sridhar interacted with the parents. One trainee each from Multi-skill and Hospitality shared with the gathering about how they were living earlier and how they are living at present after joining the center. Multi-skill students gave a presentation on electrical wiring of a 2BHK house.
A short film was played about the past one year achievement followed by a power point presentation on DBHRDC training programs and the facilities provided at the center.
All the parents were very happy to see their children learning new skills in the centre. They were given a tour of the facility – the class rooms, hospitality labs, computer lab and dormitory.
The program ended with vote of thanks by the Centre Co-ordinator, Anthony. Parents expressed deep appreciation for the dedicated service being rendered by the DBHRDC team.
