Summer camp of 45 days helps learn English and improve many skills

20 April 2020

I am writing these few lines from DBHRDC institute at Gagillpuram,  to share a little information about the Summer Camp 2014. We had begun Spoken English Summer Camp (for 45 days) on 11th of March.

In order to facilitate family atmosphere in children for the first two days we conducted ice breaking sessions. During the ice breaking session Rev. Fr. Santiagu, the director welcomed the youth for the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Sojan, The Economer with key note address on 15th of March. He stressed on the importance of learning English and appreciated the student for their performance on the stage.

The Camp consists of 120 students, were divided into three classes with 40 each after conducting the entrance exam. In order to maintain discipline among the students and keep the house clean we divided them into four groups viz: Lily Group, Sunflower Group, Lotus Group and Little flower Group. In the course of time the students were given the opportunity to take part in different competitions (singing, fancy dress, mime, dance and skit competitions). They are participating in the camp with lot of energy and gusto. They are very happy to learn and speak in English.
