An awareness program was organized on 30th July 2015 in collaboration with Child Line (1098) Child Welfare Committee and Telangana State Police (CID). About 20 families with 32 children participated in the program – from the Warangal Railway Station areas. These families hail from different parts of middle and northern India – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. They are residing near the Warangal station areas since a long time.

Smt.Anitha Reddy, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Warangal District was the Chief Guest for the program, along with Guest of Honor – District Childline Coordinator, Urban Childline Coordinator. Fr. Anil, Director DBNJ Warangal had a brief interaction with the families, offering help for the children in terms of placement and educational support.

The parents were requested not to take the children along with them for laboring in the streets and instead, to use the services from the nearby NGO’s with the help of Child line, CWC and DBNJ.
