All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. The annual Children’s Fest for Don Bosco Tuition
Centres was held at Don Bosco Ongole on 28 th January fostering holistic formation to the
students. The day is graced by Fr. Thomas Santiagu , Fr. Sebastian, the administrator, Fr. Sleeva,
Dean of studies Sr. Philo, the superior of the Auxilium convent and Sr. Rosy, the Director of
Development Office.

There were a total of 220 students from classes 1 to 9 and ten teachers from ten tuition centers
present for the event. They are from tuition centers run by Don Bosco Ongole helping less
advantaged children of the society in the locality of Ongole town.

Speaking to the students, Fr. Thomas Santiagu, the Rector of the Ongole Don Bosco institution
reminded the words of St. John Bosco ‘Play, run, jump but do not sin’. He also encouraged
children to work hard in their academics.

Celebrations began with an ice breaking sessions conducted by Bros Joseph and Rakesh. It was
followed by out-door games. Post lunch a colourful dance and singing competition was
organized. All the winners of on stage and off stage competitions received attractive prizes.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Fr. Medi Sleeva, the dean of the institution. The day concluded
with a photo session. It was indeed a memorable day for all the children.
