Bosco Seva Kendra hosted a unique evening for its supporters – DINE FOR A CAUSE – a dinner to celebrate the joy of giving. Close to 250 individuals from different walks of life gathered at St.Francis College for Women on Saturday, 15 November, 2014.

In a culmination of over a year of preparations, the fundraising event saw many people offering their support and collaboration.  The programme started with invocation of the Almighty by way of a powerful Bharatanatyam performance by Ms.Sruthakeerthi and four of her students from the Shruti Art Academy.

While Ms.Manju has found success in job sphere, Mr.Santosh is deriving satisfaction from changing the lives of more and more children like him.

A contest, ‘Open your Hearts’ was held where Rev.Fr.Benny Joseph invited the audience to open their hearts to sponsor the education of a child rescued by us.  People responded positively by pledging to support one, two or three children to be educated for one year.  Support was thus pledged for 35 children by the close of the event.

Executive Director, BSK, Fr.Thomas Santiagu concluded the programme with a vote of thanks to all who contributed to make the event a reality.

The guests proceeded to dinner and carried the message of this group of children that need the right platform to channelize their skills and energy.
